Shakespeare was a English poet, playwright and actor. He was Born in April 1564 and died on April 23 1616. During his life spans to this day He was described by some as the greatest writer and poet! His main poem was called Macbeth, when Shakespeare wrote Macbeth in 1606 James 1 had been King of England for 3 years. He had previously been James the VI of Scotland. King James symbolised the Union of the Scottish and England crowns, a union to which Shakespeare refers to in the play hense the scenes.
Malcolm is now the prince of Cumberland! To become king myself, I’m either going to have to step over him or give up, because he’s in my way. Stars, hide your light so no one can see the terrible desires within me. I won’t let my eye look at what my hand is doing, but in the end I’m still going to do that thing I’d be horrified to see.
Yr8 Book review hwk1
In this book review I will be talking about the book once. This book is about a boy called Felix, who was brought up as a orphan during ww2. Felix is one on the main characters in the book I like Felix because he is very cheeky and likes to have a laugh. I would like to add that I feel that I could relate to him and his actions. However what I don’t like about Felix is that when something bad happens he always acts like nothing’s happened or he tries to change the subject. there are other quite main characters in the book he have a important role in the story such as: Zelda, Chaya the Nazis and his parents. The main reason why I chose this book to be reviewed is because i really enjoyed reading it and being able understand the topic and meaning of the book I also chose the book because I like learning about the war and peoples opinion about growing up and trying to stay alive during the war. This book is written by MORRIS GLEITZMEN.
Letter to an actor
Dear mr Desiel,
i have seen all of your fast and furious films. Out of all seven films my favourite film is Furios 7, I’ve watched about twenty times and have the film on DVD! It’s really sad and tragic about the crash of Paul walker, and very upsetting that Paul won’t be along side you in the films to come. You two were like brothers. However I thought I should
Film review 6
in this film review I will be talking about a film based on a true story, Dolphin tale. I have chosen this book because it is a film I love to watch and feel is very sad until the end. The film is about a dolphin found on a beach with his tail caught in a peice of rebbish from the sea, eventually animal medics calm her down a revoke the peice of rubbish of of her tail. After a short journey back to the aquarium they realise she can’t use her tail and it’s affecting her to swim properly! After hours of thinking the medics thought that the only way for her not to be in pain is to amputate her tail…
after about a week, the medics daughter and friend come to visit the aquarium. While looking around they could hear what they thought was a animal in pain turned out to be the dolphin! They were in shock of what they saw and they bursts so into tears.
FIREWORKS NIGHTMARE part 1…
One dark, cold, fireworks night was a day I will never forget. There’s still things that I don’t understand and why it all happened to me. It started as a normal day in the park, crazy kids burning there energy, adults doing there normal thing gossiping about nothing. I was sitting on the grass with my friend, eating ice cream, watching the birds fly high in the sky. We both felt very tired, but at the same time high on energy I wanted to enjoy the lush hot sun while it lasts. Quite a while later I decided to Finaly do something so I ran over to the swing because everything else is for babies. As The sky got darker one by one people began to leave the park, I thought it was just because the parents had enough or to get ready for the fireworks but I was wrong…
As soon as the clock struck 18:00 I had the whole park to myself my friend had to go for dinner, and he called me once he got home telling me that he thought someone or something had chased him out of the park! I thought it was rubbish, and that he said that for nothing but a scare, but then I started to believe him. About a hour later I heard a faint voice a little girls perhaps, I thought that if I’d followed the sound I would of found were it came from, but as I got closer, it stopped completely!! At that moment I froze as still as a statue, my hairs on the back of my kneck began to rise as if something was crawling up my kneck. About 3 seconds later I turned around and I saw a small letter on the floor saying my name, so I opened it and it said “I wouldn’t look at the swings if I was you!” At this point I knew I wasn’t alone but no was there…
Book review 5
In this book journal I will be talking about a book called good night mister Tom and is wrote by Michelle magician. I remember reading about the book in the end of yr6 me and my class really enjoyed reading the book and also found it quite emotional. The first part of the book was boring for me as I didn’t understand what was happening but as the book went on I began to enjoy It a lot more. My favourite part of the book is when mr Tom adopts the boy because I thought that was a very kind choose to do especially after every thing that happened in the past. The part I thought was amazingly wrote was when the mum locks the baby with the boy as it was so sad and made a few members of the class upset as the outcome of the baby was death!? I definitely recommend this book to people who like those type of books and I also wanted to no so many things after the book.?
ONCE ESSAY HWK1
In this essay I will be talking about the type of child Felix is, and what I like about Felix. I will also explain my points by using quotes from the book, written by a very popular author Morris Glietzman. Apart from this book (Once), she has also wrote many sequels to this book Such-as: Then, After and Soon, which I am looking forward to reading.
In my opinion my first way of describing Felix is a type of person who looks after other people and tries to stay positive when bad things happen. He narrates that “I’ll move her away from the railway line to somewhere more peaceful.” This quotation refers to being shot by Nazis. At this part of the book Felix, Zelda and Chaya are about to jump out of the Train that’s taking them to the Concentration Camps. I believe Felix could of easily of left Chaya on the track, however he chose to move her next to some Flowers.
I also believe Felix is a confused, little boy at the start of the book, because he always thought that the choices that were made was for a reason it actually wasn’t. A example of this, “there were two reasons Mum and Dad chose this Orphanage, number one because it was the closest and number two because of Mother Minkas goodness.” The real reason they chose this Orphanage was because the Nazis were envading.
Another way of describing Felix is a brave, little boy, especially in the third part and onwards of the book, because he doesn’t seem to show fear and show he is scared about what is to come in the the future. I also know this because when Felix goes to jump out of a moving train he didnt show one bit of emotion towards being scared. Obviously he must of been scared inside, but he does a really good job of not showing this to the point were people realise it.
I also think Felix is determined because in the book he will always mention his parents as a reference of trying to find them, or them to come back to him. I know this because at the very Beginning of chapter 2 Felix beings to say ” Once I stayed awake all night waiting for mum and dad to arrive.” This proves my point that he is determined because he was sure they would come.
Before my conclusion, what I like about Felix is how brave he is. I like this because of he inspirational he is to bad things happening for example when he is starting to realise the chances of him finding his true parents is very slim he keeps fighting and overcomes the challenges that he faces. Felix also shows no fear when he has a challenge, when everyone thinks he is fearless I know he is scared deep down, but just doesn’t show it. That is my main reason as to why I like Felix.
My conclusion is that Felix is a caring positive confused and determined child. I know this because Morris Gleitzman describes Felix in this way.
What type of child is Felix?
In my opinion Felix is a type of person who looks after other people and tries to think of positive ways of bad things. He narrates that “I’ll motive her away from the railway line to somewhere more peaceful.” This quotation refers to Chayas death. As a reference of being shot my Nazis. At this part of the book Felix, Zelda and chats are about to jump out of the Nazi train to escape going to the concentration camps. Once Chaya had been shot and was lying dead on the track Felix could have easily left her there but he chose to move her next to flowers, this proves my point that he looks after people.
